Driverless Metro in India

A Driverless metro express is going to be functional in few years in India, that too in a rapidly growing state of Gujarat . The project named as MEGA [ Metro Link Express For Gujarat and Ahmadabad] which uses a technology named as CBTC [Communication Based Train Control] .
The chief of this project Mr Sanjay Gupta said that a driver train will run at an average speed of 30-35 kmph, but this train will be running at a average speed of 40-45 kmph. This project as additional advantages like

  • Cost cut benefit for the government
    • No Driver
    • Amount of time taken between the station is automatized, so it will reduce the time and it will increase the frequency of services.
  • Max Speed: 100 kmph
The Total estimate of this project is 15,000 crore. The project has three phases . The first phase of the project will  start between Gandhinagar and Ahmadabad this year with an initial budget of 1100 Crores.

From the past few years Gujarat had seen various improvement in technology , this project will also add a credit to the crown of it.

Nice Initiative by that State Government. Hats off to them.

Bharat Mathaki Jai  !!!!!
